USATF Certified 1.178 mile loop (VA17001BDS). Mostly flat surface consists mostly of small cinders.
Electronic timing will be provided by Kilted Timing. All registered runners must wear bid/numbers that are provided.
Overnight camping the night before the event will be allowed but please contact us for details. If you wish to set up before the event you may do so Friday afternoon. Tents will be allowed during the event, however the FC Parks and Recreation Dept has rules concerning open air fires also, please only set up a tent in the designated areas.
Water, Gatorade, and assorted soft drinks will be available for the race. We’ll have an assortment of food at the start-finish. There will be no other aid stations on the course. There will be hamburger/pizza available late in the day on Saturday.
No refunds; no transfers or deferrals will be allowed.

Rules: All registered runners must wear visible numbers that are provided. Laps will be electronically counted. Race officials will have finals say in all laps. if a race official determines that you are not able to continue you will be pulled from the course.
Camping/Tents: Overnight camping the night before event will be allowed but please contact us ahead of time for more details as there are spedcifics as to where and where not to camp. If you wish to set up for the event you may do so on Friday afternoon.
Please NOTE: The Franklin County Parks and Recreation Dept has rules concerning open fires and setups are only allowed in designated areas.

Bathrooms: Located near the main aid station and right on the course are heated Men’s and Women’s restrooms. Please note that there are no showers.
Other info: There is very little lighting at night in the park. It is strongly recommended that you wear a headlamp or carry a flashlight. The course will be marked at night with glow sticks or something similar.
Absolutely NO ALCOHOL permitted in the park. Race is limited to 180 runners.
Packet Pickup: Friday afternoon 1:00PM to 5:00PM at the park. Saturday morning 6:15AM until 7:45AM.
Anyone starting LATE Saturday please come to the timing tent!
Directions to Waid Park: Rocky Mount, VA is located approximately 30 miles south of Roanoke, VA and 30 miles North of Martinsville, VA just off US 220. Take the Route 40 exit off 220, and follow Route 40 West towards Ferrum and watch for Route 640 or the Six Mile Post Road. There is a stop light here. Take a right (you will cross some railroad tracks) and the park entry will be on the left approximately 1.8 miles later. Waid Park Road. Drive all the way to the end of the road to the parking lot. The address for GPS purposes is 701 Waid Park Road, Rocky Mount, VA.
Awards: 1st place overall male and 1st place overall female. A CR24 100 mile buckle to those who cover 100 miles in 24 hours (if not in a prior year)
